JAT’ INVITES AUSTRALIAN BUSINESSES TO SHOWCASE THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES AT THE ANNUAL “CHINA INTERNATIONAL IMPORT EXPO” – CIIE

CIIE represents an unprecedented opportunity for Australian businesses to establish or increase their access to China’s massive marketplace.

CIIE is China’s original expo designed to introduce imported products to Chinese buyers and distributors. CIIE was announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in May 2017, signalling strong central government support for trade liberalization and actively opening the Chinese market to the world.

With great success, JAT has exhibited at all three CIIE expos since the inaugural 2018 show. In 2018 and 2019, JAT occupied a 200m2. In 2020, JAT’s stand was one of the largest in the show, with a total area of 300m2, whereof 110m2 were shared by 6 other Australian businesses.

In 2018, Orient International (Holding) Co. Ltd, the largest comprehensive trading group in Shanghai and an exhibition promotion partner, appointed by the organiser of CIIE through its subsidiary Shanghai Dragon Corporation, selected JAT as its sole Australian promotion partner for the inaugural CIIE.

With visitors including domestic and foreign professional purchasers for private companies, state enterprises and provincial and municipal governments, showcasing products on the JAT stand gives great exposure for Australian businesses wanting to break into the China market.

Together with our Chinese business partners, JAT secures your exhibition space and provides assistance with related aspects of logistics, marketing and promotion, as well as facilitation of procurement agreements with Chinese enterprises.

In 2019, the numbers had increased to U.S.$70 billion and the number of visitors reached almost 1 million, while 181 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the expo.

In 2020, due to the Covid-19 situation around the globe, there was a reduction in both exhibitors and visitors, but due to the success from the previous two events, JAT again elected to participate in the show.

During all three shows, JAT has signed a number of new distribution agreements, building on its vast network of Chinese distributors and direct customers. Participating in CIIE has significantly contributed to the growth of the business in the China market.
